Convincing a Friend

In the end the choice will be yours
Whether to keep on fighting for what you want
Or to slip away into oblivion

As you find yourself at this crossroad in your life
You will look to your left and see darkness
Darkness so consuming that your very soul will be lost to it

And see the road continuing on
You will see it winding, twisting and turning
Until it is lost in the distance

And see your foot prints in the sand
